The original 26 story Hilton Hotel was originally the only 5 star Hotel on the Island side of Hong Kong territory.  It was built in 1961 and it was located at 2 Queens Road on Hong Kong Island.  Eventually, the Hotel was closed in May of 1995 to make way for a new development in that location.  The original Hilton had a total of 750 rooms with a total staff of 850 employees.
